Laila Hanson
Electric Valentine - Body To Body
It's one of the most emotional songs I've heard in the electro/pop genre and quite surprising in that aspect, but it still manages to be very catchy and memorable.

Chrisanne Grise
Franz Ferdinand - Ulysses
It's catchy, fun and sounds even better live. I really just love everything this band does. And I can't wait for the whole album to be released!

Laura Heath
Snow Patrol - Crack The Shutters
They capture some great intensity and an epic sound that I'm really hoping to hear more of from new and old bands in the next year. Hopefully it's a sign of the good to come in 2009.

David Spikett
We Stare At Mirrors - Ticking Timebomb
Appearing mysteriously late 2008 this band revealed themselves at the start of this year, featuring ex members of the now defunct Eternal Lord and a full roster of gig dates with bands such as Architects. The track showcases some high quality writing and is a good sign for future releases. Only thing left for them to do now is to get a gig near me so I can catch them on camera.

Tessa Appleby
Bouncing Souls - Gasoline
This track was released on the 1st of january and the band will be releasing 11 more tracks on the 1st of every month in 2009 to celebrate their 20th anniversary as a band.
I love the track because it is a true return to form for the band, it hints at the summer to come, lazy days and bbq's with friends. Also, with a world tour just getting underway (kicking off in South America) it is a perfect way to get everyone excited about their up and coming shows. If the 2009 shows are like shows of the past they will certainly be legendary!

The lyrics in the track also tell a story and even if you are in a really bad mood you are guaranteed to be cheered up by this song :)
The Bouncing souls show with the track Gasoline just why after 20 years they are still punk rock pioneers to the ranks of the true believers and to many many beyond.
