Lady Rain are a six piece indie band from Birmingham and have been writing and recording together for over half a decade.

'Sell Yourself' is the first track on this three track single. The song is an infectious mix of up-beat vocals and catchy guitar hooks with an brilliant instrumental thrown in that could get anyone dancing.
Track two begins, but wait, I've heard this before? The beginning of 'Dead Bees' sounds very similar to 'Sell Yourself,' but thankfully an edgy guitar sound strikes up and the song becomes it's own. I thought the vocals on track one weren't very polished but I take that back, the vocals here sound pretty rough. I read that this song deserved 'lead song status' on this single, but it's not nearly as catchy as what I'd heard before.
'Ten Feet Tall' has a much scratchier sound to it, again, the vocals aren't very strong and the music itself is drowning them out.

It started off well, 'Sell Yourself' deffinately deserves the 'lead song' status here as the second and third songs bring the single downhill a little due to the vocals. I was a little disappointed by this single, the songs are all very different but provide a good peek into what the band can do, but I think they are still finding a sound that suits them.

The band must be doing something right because they have gained 400,000 website hits in eight months and every release has made the Top 5 in the Overplay Unsigned Chart. I think I missed something.
