For those like myself that had just come reeling of the high of seeing the boys playing at Wembley Arena this was the must see event for any MCR fan. An intimate show after seeing them in the huge arena's playing a mix of old and new tracks. What more could you ask for? Well, tickets would be a good place to start as this was a limited events to those who won tickets from Radio one and a few select places online. I, like many other fans did not win tickets, but that's only a small detail; I WAS going to find a way of getting into that show. After much begging, sulking, moaning about our blight to the many lucky fans/friends in the que myself and my fellow fanmate found two tickets going spare from one girl (if you're reading this, THANK YOU!).
The day was long but exciting as a few glimpses of the band arriving and walking across the street (protected by the loyal security who are amazing as always) and then we are filed in just before 7pm.

The fact that this event was pretty much an all hard core MCR fan event (because who else would be that crazy to continually ring Radio 1 all week for tickets) and the atmosphere adds to the excitement of seeing the band. Once Zane Lowe does a quick intro our boys are back in town with a bang and kick off start into 'Dead!' to get the crowd bouncing off the walls. The hoopla of the BBC cameras and mics don't phase or distract the band or fans alike, we are here to rock the building to the ground and we mean business. The more intimate format still brings us the delights and highlights from the arena tour with some aspects that just aren't possible in arena tours. We get the confetti and light shows from the big tours but the crowd interaction that are a happy flashback of the 'old school' performances with Gerard jumping up into the front row during 'Famous Last Words' and asking about the now famed UK MCRmy battle chant.

From each song to the next, the heat and screams continue to beat between the crowd and the boys like an invisible tennis match, with no end in sight. The true highlights of the show are always the fan favourites such as the classic 'I'm not Okay' and more new born loves from the anthem 'Welcome to the Black Parade' to the mind blowing 'Mama'. One track I really think deserves more attention is 'Sleep' which in my mind is a sleepy track on the record which might not jump out at you at first but as soon as you hear live, you wonder how you haven't been listening to it more. The final chorus when Gerard is screaming 'Wake Up' is simply at a sight to behold.

The whole evening was a pure joy and makes the fans even bigger fans and makes those who hadn't heard of them before newcomers to the MCRmy family. All that is left to ask is: MCRmy, what is your professional????
