Self Against City are the latest bunch to come out of the Drive-Thru/Rushmore Records roster, with their debut full-length album 'Telling Secrets To Strangers,' released this year on January 9th 07.
The album is packed to the brim with catchy pop-punk hooks and teenage boy angst. It's track 3 'Ready and Willing,' that is the definate hit single for this band, but the tracks 'Becoming A Monster,' and 'Disappearing Act,' are the secret brilliance behind album.
Acoustic, melodic and damn right romantic track 'Tequila Moonlight,' will have every teenage girl falling madly in love with this band and wishing every boy they meet is exactly like the one spilling his vocals.
Self Against City could be described as just another damn 'emo' band, but they're something different. The album is packed tightly with summer time fueled anthems and catchy chorus,' bound to get any crowd singing along. The band have managed to pull through some extremely confusing and obviously frustrating line up changes to produce, if promoted well, a highly successful album.
