Hailing from Bath, XisLoaded have been extensively touring for over five years now with bands such as InMe, Biffy Clyro and Million Dead, and after working hard on the road they have suceeded in pulling off a top album for 2007, 'Trench,' the follow up to critically acclaimed debut 'Raw Nerve' is released on April 23rd of this year via Sugar Shack Records.
Finally, I have recieved a decent album to review!
'Trench' was produced by Paul Corkett (Placebo, The Cure) and is an ear splitting mixture of rock, metal, punk and grunge music that actually works.
The album is one big explosion of riffs, energy and confidence throughout. The best song of the album has got to be 'Carousel,' it's widly catchy and packed full of knock out vocals and melodies.
'Trench' shows the audience the crazy, eclectic side of XisLoaded aswell as the mature, professional side. The band have gained praises from the likes of Metal Hammer, Kerrang and Rock Sound magazine and is it any wonder? This album is everything the music buisness needs and more. If their live show is anything like this head throbbing masterpiece then I will deffinately be checking them out.
