'Above Them' are a three piece Rock/Indie band from Pontefract, who have already established themselves in the DIY British Music Scene, touring alongside the likes of Hell Is For Heroes, Armour For Sleep and My Awesome Compilation.
They've been working their way up the music industry ladder slowly but surely and have had an appearance on the 7th installment of Small Town America's 'Public Service Broadcast' series aswell as being played on Radio 1 courtesy of DJ Steve Lamacq.

2008 has already been a busy year for the guys as they toured throughout January with The Attika State. They will carry on touring through the year which will coincide with the release of their brand new EP 'Put Your Heart Into This.'

The EP portrays a very British sound that is currently making it's way into the music scene, but Above Theme have a small twist to their sound in the way they intertwine it with heavier guitars and gruffer vocals, similar in places to those of Fightstar front man Charlie Simpson. This sound gives the band an edge over others trying to make their way into the public's CD players.
What I enjoy about 'Put Your Heart Into This,' is the amount of musical surprises that the audience are introduced to. When you are least expecting it, the band have dropped in fun guitar riffs, chants, shouting and much more, all over the place. This keeps the listener on their toes and interested in the EP from start to finish.

It's clear that these guys know exactly what they are doing and they are steadily making their way towards credible rockstar status', I expect to see alot of them in the coming year.
