CD Tracklisting
1. Honesty

Welsh boys, Attack! Attack! have been working hard over the last few years from working on their 2008 self titled record for release to touring with the likes of The Blackout, Lostprophets and You Me At Six it seems they are really breaking onto the scene and making a name for themselves with all the right people.

With a catchy tune and memorable lyrics it has no doubts about it that it is a nice song and the band has a definite appeal about it but for me there isn’t an over powering sense that is quite up to par with other tracks that are currently making waves in the music scene. I think that though this is a good track that it may not be the one that breaks them into the mainstream music scene quite yet as it sounds very much like a lot of other songs that have come before it; it’s not fresh enough to hold the audience long term but it is interesting enough for me to what to find out more. It’s for fans of the pop punk vibes of Sugarcult and the Brit charm that comes from bands like Kids in Glass Houses or The Blackout.

From all accounts this band is meant to be great live and from my quick listen to their recent album release I can say their general body of work is rather good but perhaps it’s just this single that doesn’t quite sell the band as well as the album in full. For best value I’d recommend buying their full album as this single is just the tip of the iceberg for Attack! Attack!

If I were being honest, I’d say it’s by no means a bad song; in fact I really do like it but it’s just not quite as gripping as other things that are coming out at the moment or compared to their entire work to date. It’s worth your interest but maybe among other samples of new music to get a taste of what there is out there and judge for yourself. It’s more a sample of their work than a whole representation of it; buy the album for a full idea of what they really have on offer and enjoy.
