CD Tracklisting
1. It’s Now or Never
2. Sidecars Are For Sidekicks
3. Changing Lanes
4. We’re Still Alive

With vibes of Taking Back Sunday, All American Rejects and Something Corporate, this five piece from the south coast have a clarity and cohesive sound that makes you wish it more than just 4 tracks on offer on the EP. To their credit what we get is perhaps just a sample of what would be a great album rather than just a mashed up taste of demos and their put just as much time and thought in the EP as most artists would do for a full blown studio released album. Currently on tour around the UK Lost on Landing produce heart warming tracks to chant along with; specifically the bridge section in ‘Sidecars Are For Sidekicks’, and pop punk dance tunes that are a throwback to some of the classics of the late 1990s and early 2000s; when I was first getting into the scene so to say this made me smile to hear is an understatement; it made my little pop punk heart skip a beat.

It’s not to say that they are unoriginal because though they may sound like bands of my early musical youth they are very much themselves and mould the music they like to listen to into tracks they should be proud to play and have fun doing it too. ‘Changing Lanes’ is about starting over and the bravery it takes to do that shortly to be followed by ‘We’re Still Alive’ a more piano lead introduction leading up into the ambush of guitar’s and the lyrics cry out for redemption and salvation, perhaps from the life unlived that is sung about in ‘Changing Lanes’.

Even in their lyrics the band are screaming out for a new chances to start a new life and about getting away from the monotony of the humdrum daily life and it seems from their current tour schedule and just a handful of MySpace replies from thankful fans and gig goers that they are reaching out and grabbing that chance and hold onto it for all it’s worth to the delight of many.
