I don't have a particular favourite type of music, if I had to choose I would probably say emo, a great definition of emo would be 'Like a Goth, only much less dark and much more Harry Potter!'
The bands I like (in no particular order) are: Gallows, Crash Romeo, Weezer, Aiden, Reel Big Fish, Zebrahead, Zutons, My Chemical Romance, Fandangle, Anthony and the Johnsons, The White Stripes, Joy Division, Rancid, Angels and Airwaves, Dragonforce, Atreyu, Panic! At The Disco, Bright Eyes, Bloc Party, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Bouncing Souls, DEAD CITY STEREO, wtch these guys they rock!! Air, AFI, The Academy Is, Rocket From the Crypt, Randy, The Hives, Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Kaiser Chiefs (although I know i shouldnt!), Sixties music, Avenged Sevenfold, Fightstar, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte (first two albums only), Tom Petty, Death Cab for Cutie, Gogol Bordello, The Wurzels (well I am from Zummerset), Wolfmother, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Less Than Jake etc im sure you get the idea.
Favourite Films:
The Killer, possibly the best film ever made in the Hong Kong/Kowloon area., not advisable to watch it when your in Hong Kong - can make one a little bit paranoid about guns being hidden in flower pots at the entrance to restaurants. Lost in translation, National Treasure, anything Tarantino, Drop Dead Fred, Narnia, Napoleon Dynamite, LOTR, Closer, Buffalo Soldiers, Naked Gun, The Faculty, Identity, The Lion King (dont give me any bullshit about the second and third ones being better because you know full well they were crap!) Anything by Kevin Smith but must admit im a bit of a Mallrats lover! Queen of the damned so camp it was excellent. The Indiana Jones Trilogy will never be bettered as a cannon of adventure romps (Pirates of the Carribean may be trying to better them but they never will, I mean how can Jack Sparrow compete with Marcus a museum curator, a man who gets lost in his own museum - quite frankly a legend). I love way too many films to detail here but the above gives you a flavour of my varied tastes.
Music is my passion, both listening to and playing, I have recently got into Djing, so watch this space!! My ultimate ambition is to be a tour promoter/ sound engineer, that is when I have finished uni. I love any type of live music and I also love to travel.
